Regular Meetings & Events

Please note: our mid-week activities and events have been affected by Covid-19.

Small Groups

We have two groups meeting weekly to learn and grow together as we study the Bible - on Thursdays in people’s homes from 7-8.30pm, and Monday mornings from 9.30am at HBCC. The Thursday group usually focuses on questions based on the topic and Bible passage from the Sunday teaching series. On Mondays we look systematically at the Old Testament, one of the Gospels and a book from the New Testament.

Prayer Meetings

Every Sunday from 9am a small group of us meet before the service to pray. We also have a meeting for prayer after church on the third Sunday of month. We always pray to support members of our church who are serving God in Asia and in Australia.

Hospitality

Hospitality is a huge part of our life together. We seem always to be sharing food together and enjoying ourselves.
FISH (Fellowship in Someone's Home) lunches bring us together in random clusters several times a year and provide an opportunity to invite people who are not part of our church.

Our annual Cancer Council Biggest Morning Tea in May now has a reputation in the area and is very well supported as a major fundraiser for important research.

Regular Activities

Our building hosts several community-based activities during the week. our church family organises random social events, and many people in our local community use our building to hold events. Our building is available to the community for groups and individuals to use.

Community Events

Our aim in serving our community is to help build community by bringing our people together for a variety of special occasions. Most of our larger community events also serve to raise funds for charities, especially Coast Shelter, based in Gosford.

  • Helping Clean-up Australia with our section of the bay waterfront.

  • An annual Easter Art Festival featuring local artists, and raising funds for charity.

  • Hosting the Cancer Council's Biggest Morning Tea in May each year.

  • An annual service to give thanks and pray for our Rural Fire Brigade and Surf Life Saving Club is held at the beginning of Spring-Summer season.

  • Our annual Easter and Christmas services usually have a packed house.
